How can we help?
Find your question below. Each answer shows you the button to press, and if none fit, email us.
I made two accounts by mistake
Usually one came from “Continue with GitHub” and the other from your school email. You can merge them yourself.
- Sign in to the account you want to keep. Usually that's your school email.
- Open Settings → Merge another account and type the other account's email. Made it with “Continue with GitHub”? It's the email on your GitHub account.
- Type the 6-digit code we send to that address. Its team spots, check-ins and projects move over, and that email signs in here too.
- If the other account had GitHub connected, connect it again on this one.
My team is under my school email, but I signed in with another one
Add your school email to the account you're signed in to, then accept the team spot saved under it.
- Open Settings → Emails and press Add another email, or Add Email on your event's sign-up page.
- Enter the code we send to your school inbox.
- On your event's sign-up page, press Accept Your Team Spot.
If it says that address already has its own ALL account, press Merge It Into This Account right there.
I can't see my team
Organizers save your team spot under the email they have for you, usually your school email. You accept it on your event's sign-up page.
- Sign in with that email, or add it to your account.
- Open the sign-up link your organizers sent and press Accept Your Team Spot.
- After that, your team is under Projects. Not on a team yet? Start one or join one from the sign-up page.
Where's my GitHub repository invitation?
It goes to the GitHub account you connect in your team's workspace. Open the workspace from Projects.
- At the top of your workspace, press Connect GitHub.
- Press Accept Your GitHub Invitation while signed in to the GitHub account you connected. It also waits at github.com/notifications (opens in a new tab). If GitHub says “not found”, you're signed in to a different GitHub account. Switch accounts on github.com and press it again.
- Can't find it, or it expired? Press Check Repository Access in your workspace. It reads Check Again when something needs fixing.
I checked in, but it's not on my profile
A check-in is saved under the email you typed at the door.
- Sign in with that email, or add it in Settings → Emails with Add another email.
- The check-in joins your profile as soon as the address is confirmed.
If it says that address already has its own ALL account, press Merge It Into This Account right there.
My chapter has my old points under my name, with no email
A record with only a name isn't linked to anyone automatically, since anyone can type a name.
- Open Settings → Emails and press Ask chapter under “Records under your name”.
- An officer of that chapter confirms it's you, and the points join your record.
Who can see my profile?
Partner companies in the network can find your profile, anyone with your link can open it, and it can appear in search results. All three are on by default.
- Open Settings → Who can see your profile.
- Turn off Visible to everyone. All three stop, and your page then shows nothing.
Still stuck?
Email us from any address you use with ALL, and tell us which event or chapter it's about. Made two accounts? Send both addresses.
Never send us a sign-in code. Nobody from ALL will ask for one.
